Four more years, are we ready?

It starts with the music of  "Signed, sealed and delivered" by Stevie Wonder the speech of the newly re-elected President Barack Obama. At the democrats election headquarters of Chicago, Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington. A huge crowd is waiting for him, one of those crowds we got use to just thanks to the Hollywood movies. A typical American audience well armed with flags and slogans.

Despite this there is a strange atmosphere in the air. Something is not where it should be,  even though the mass of people is screaming “Four more years”. However Mr. President manages to quiet the audience and he starts speaking, slowly and deeply. He reaffirms with force and clarity the ideals of Change and Hope that characterized the election campaign of 2008, but with an extra element "Foward". As somebody who wants to lead on a sure path. The recipe is: once established the basis, now we must  (Or maybe we should) take off and speed up.
But it has to be noticed that even though  Obama’s speech is somehow involving, it surely cannot be defined innovative. The same thing can be said about the whole electoral campaign.  In fact, the spirit has changed. Together with a farewell sense witnessed by phrases such as "This is my last speech" and also "This is my last stop" said during the past few days and the much more famous image depicting President with a tear on his cheek. Also a bitter taste of déjà vu is easily recognizable within the whole gestures and words of the re-elected president.
In fact of the revolutionary version of Obama seen in 2008 which managed to make the dream of John F. Kennedy comes true (One day America will have a black president), not much is left. Obama seems to be more mature, in a certain way more adult. An easy example could be his way of wearing the suit, before getting up his sleeves and today more formal and tidy. After all 2012 is not 2008. A definitive solution of the economic crisis is not found yet, although  the progresses achieved with the increased number of jobs (Case Chrysler) public debt continues to pose a serious threat, along with issues more "international" as the euro crisis, the threat of China and the delicate situation in Syria. In this context, Obama's victory seems even less decisive. Obama himself seems to notice it enough to declare directly to his daughters during his acceptance speech in Chicago: one dog is enough. Referring to the dog given to him by the Kennedys family on the occasion of the election victory of 2008.
Furthermore data says that the Democratic party has lost about 10 million votes and Obama finds himself with a resolution of the House of Representatives completely against him. And that is why, in my opinion, Obama is also seeking the support of his challenger. In fact, the governability of 44 ° presidency will be among the most difficult in the history of the American nation. This designs a really complex situation for both the U.S. President and the whole nation itself, that is why Obama honestly and not without a hint of defiance says: the best is yet to come.
So what’s best than Good luck Mr. President!?
